Playing around in other media
Hey folks!
Apologies for my absence, I’ve been digging myself out of two feet of snow and even more work.
In 2025, I challenged myself to post on Substack every week. I failed, but considering I went from zero to 29/52 overnight is an accomplishment worth noting, I think.
It was an ambitious goal for a guy who runs a couple small businesses, keeps an active social life, and travels deep into the psychedelic inner space. So this year, I’m going to be a bit easier on myself.
My goal is to stay above the 2 pieces per month average. Considering it’s February first, I am already behind.
But I’ve not been idle. I’ve just been exploring other media, and I would love to share them with you.
Stuck inside during a superstorm is the perfect place to explore one’s creativity, so I played around with something old and something new.
I took my first real hack at video content creation by recording my not-so-slow descent into snowed-in madness. You can find it on Instagram if you enjoy looking at my face. But if you just want a little taste before heading to a second digital location, I’ll drop the 3 minute vertical here.
On the audio side of things, my dear friend Professor Bamis and I took an evening to hop back on the sticks and record another episode of our somewhat abandoned podcast “It’s Not About the Whisky” in which we may or may not drink whisky and we may or may not talk about it.
In this one, we talk film and TV while scheming to get someone else to pay for our drinks.
Thanks for your eyes and your earballs, everybody! Happy belated New Year! Peace and love!
Also,
Thanks.
